On November 25, 2011, Black Friday sales went through the roof to break previous sales records. Sometime before that day after Thanksgiviing, something positive happened simultaneosly to both the hiring mentality of US businesses and to consumer confidence.
Retail sales have jumped, car sales up 14%. US payrolls increased by 120,000, unemployment is down to 8.6%, new equipment orders are way up; manufacturing rising in several key areas. Caterpillar construction equipment alone is up 46%. Even Europe has something positive to add, if only a bit of reasurance and a bailout from guess who - the good ol' USA.
A great holiday season is here. I'm starting my shopping today. This stuff is catching.
